I'm sorry, but I'm reposting this here, too.
John, my youngest just called and said there is a fire ON the ranch where he lives. It's a wildfire started by the horrible winds we are having. PLEASE PRAY FOR THE FAMILY'S PROTECTION!!

I just posted a few minutes ago. It's still raging!!
Two of the grandkids have been shipped off to another town and the baby is with his mother, wherever she is.

The winds are vicious!! Several of the mobile homes here have lost their awnings and parts of their roofs.
 Protection is all we can ask for at the moment. Thank God for you, too!

This is what it looks like from my front deck... and we're 45 miles away from the fire.

I just heard from my son. The fire has moved back into the back country and is pretty much staying on the Southern perimeter of the ranch. That's a few miles away from where they live. They are going to pick up the kids that had been farmed out.
The wind doesn't seem to be blowing as strongly as it was earlier; at least not here, but fires breed their own climate and wind. Please keep my kids in your thoughts and prayers until this passes. Thank you, every single one of you for what you've done so far.

ARGH!!! I spoke too soon! The wind has picked up and changed directions. The Sherrif's Dept just told my son that they WILL BURN sometime tonight.
 In the process of getting my oldest son to drive out there and pick up all three kids.
