Today is Pell Grant Day!! I get my money for going to school. Dad and I have talked about it and I'm getting a different car. Snowy (my car) has seen better days. The air and heat don't work. To open the drivers side door when you are in the car you have to roll the window down and open it from the outside. Also the door doesn't always open. Someone else will have to enjoy her charms cuz I'm tired of her. I have found a car I like and I will go check it out later today.

Thanks. Part of my money is going for Christmas gifts. One of my friends at school had a catalog of stuff her son was selling for his school and I'm a sucker for stuff like that and got a lot of things for Christmas.

So you are able to kill 2 birds with one stone then I am excited Nothing wrong with that at all. I am going to start Christmas shopping on the internet this week. I hate shopping in the stores when it's so busy, I have NO patience for it LOL.

Hope you have a great day jannie!

How is it that you get enough money to pay for school, a car and xmas gifts on a pell grant?

Do you have to be a full time student? Are you on scholarship too? Do you live at home?

Just wondering......maybe I can afford to finish my degree after all.

Take care and study hard, education is worth every penny. Good luck

I am able to do all that on a Pell Grant because Arkansas Rehab is paying for me to go to school. It's a state run organization for disabled folks like myself to get self sufficient. They pay my books, tuition and fees and I get my Pell Grant money to live on. The only requirement is I am disabled and have to be eligible for the Pell Grant. It wasn't as much as I thought but it will be enough to help out with the new car and such. I called my dad and told him and he said that we would work it out some how. I was glad he was cool about the whole thing.
