I was just sitting in my room, and suddenly got really scared. I started to curl up and I heard this weird noise (?). Not even a 'noise', but more like..

It felt like my ears were constantly opening and closing.

Or that feeling when you hear, or feel the presence someone coming, but it was on and off.

Or a loud grey noise switching on and off. Idk how else to describe it.

And for the moment I was terrified, and began involuntarily crying. It was really weird.

Hey Tumblr.
How are you feeling now? Are you living in a dorm? I think I remember you are in college, right?

Yeah, living in a dorm. This happened when I was home for break, though. I've been better. I'm starting to get headaches, and I'm not sleeping very well.

I sought out help, though. I'm waiting on a referral to a therapist.

Have you ever had any blood tests?

A C-reactive protien CRP to check for inflammation, a metobolic panel, a CDC with Diff.

Those are basic blood test you start will to see if it is something physical.

My doctor did them for me and my CRP was through the roof, it turned me in a completely different direction.

Its also good to have for a base if you were to go to the hospital in 20 years so they cant say, "you could have had this your whole life"

I'm no doctor just have experience.

I'm pleased your seeking help too. I can't tell you definitely. It might just be stress. Is there a history of panic attacks?OTOH I am not presuming any specific past history. It might be something physical. Maybe you should get your hearing, ears checked. IDK.
