Someone set the house behind my Mom's house on fire. My neice and I couldn't get a car to her, so we ran through the Fire Trucks, etc. Mom got out of her house with her clothes, meds and purse. A kind neighbor drove us out the back way over the mountain and to the car.

At this time, Mom's house is still standing, but please pray or send good wishes or whatever you do for positive vibes.

Thank you so very much.

Jan

It's standing for now, so maybe all will be well. I'm ashamed to say I coughed more than my Mom did. My lungs are sore but apparently her's aren't. She walked though and I ran through it.

I know one thing. This extra weight has to come off. When I need to run, I need to have the breath to get where I need to go.

Thank you, dear Rayna.

I'm glad mom's house is still standing. Remember that stress is hard on our bodies, so that might have something to do with your feeling worse than your mom.....take care of you and get some good rest.

My brother just came to get Mom. Her house is ok. My chest is very sore, but I'm not coughing like last night. I was running and inhaled smoke at the same time.

I forgot to mention that there were fire crackers and ammunition going off in the house that was on fire. They told me I missed the Roman Candle. Darn!!! Fire

Thank you so very much, each and every one of you.

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Jan}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} I'm glad everything worked out okay for your mom.

I don't know what they do for smoke inhalation, but you may need a treatment or two! Fire Fire Don't neglect yourself!!

Jan,

Fires are so scarry to me....always been afraid of fire....can't even light those small matches....don't mind the wooden ones.

Glad your Mothers house is ok.....that is just too close. Sounds like kids or someone playing around with fireworks inside the house....hope they catch whoever did it & hold them responsible.

I know when I inhaled smoke from a forest fire, I went to the ER & they did a breathing treatment...initially just a quick one, then when that didn't work, they used the more extensive one with the mask & albuterol. Only problem is that the albuterol ends up depleating the body of potassium. When I got up to walk to the restroom, I colapsed...tested my potassium & it was way too low....said it was because of the albuterol....so please be careful & take care of yourself. Lungs can be so sensitive.

((((((((( Dear Hearts )))))))))

Thank you so much. My lungs are sore today but I'm not coughing like I did last night unless I lay down. I didn't go with my brother to check the house because I didn't want to inhale the smoke that is still curling around the house.

Mom is very, very happy to be back in her house. She has wonderful neighbors and one of them got her out last night. Fire

Thank you so very much for your good wishes, prayers and good thoughts. They count, believe me!!!!

Love and hugs,

Jan

I wish you could have thought to ask the FD for some O2 to breathe! You probably breathed the smoke deep into your lungs since you were running, mom was just toddling?

Ah the care and feeding of parents! Fire Glad all is ok... and hope you feel better soon. Go get a breathing treatment, why not, and get a handle on that crud in your lungs!?

Glad you were not there, what with bullets flying!
