I went into a forum and got a popup window asking me to take a survey about bipolar meds and that they would pay me $5 to do it.
I did it no skin off my nose but was wondering if it was a random thing or did it happen to everybody? Jbug

I haven't had the survey you mentioned, but every time I log onto PC, I get a pop up asking me to do a survey on adult multivitamins

Websites and adds use things like tracking cookies adn spyware and that sort of thing to see what types of webpages you visit by checking your cookies or your 'bookmarks' or something, and based on that information they show you adds related to it. so if u have visited any websites on bipolar or have anything bookmarked then you will probably see more adds related to that then anything else. hopefully that makes sense and i didnt repeat myself too many times by accident lol

I have pop-up blockers so I don't get any of that stuff......I have 172 blocked pop ups so sounds like I am missing a lot of those things but I don't really care to be bothered either.

i'm scared. I went to sign in as pc is on my favourites and a sarcastic message came up saying pc is no longer available and it is just a server who is depressed and why should it show pc anything anyway and leave it alone as it is just a lonely browser and went on and on about depression and then told me to leave it alone. i'm afraid someone is tampering with my computer and i have loads of security etc on it
i managed to get on through anouther source, not saying what jinnyann |

i have been having trouble with PC as well tonight/morning.. its been running really slowly (takes a min or two to load pages) and chat is not working at all for me either.

I have been getting that pop-up $5 survey every other day. I have a pop-up blocker so I was surprised it came through.
I have been meaning to query it so I tried to copy it to paste an image but the option wasn't there. It's annoying!

Yes indeed! I can't seem to track it down, as it appears at random.
 If you can find a pattern to it, or just notice when it's occurring, I think DocJohn asked us to PM him with the details, that he is trying to block it.Love your new name Jbug! (((hugs)))
