I've always liked this quote, I think it can be quite inspirational. However, everytime I try to apply it to my own life, I simply think "It's not true."
I can't "climb a tree", nor can I "swim".. I can't do anything right, really.

I would say that most people are not geniuses, and that's fine. But each person does bring something to the table. It may be hard to see what you bring, especially if you have low self-esteem. But rest assured Mickey, you are a valuable human being.

I see you bring kindness and support to other people's threads. I'd say that is definitely bringing something valuable to the table!

I am not a genius either but I can be a pretty good cook and that makes my family happy.
I am amazed at how well you communicate in English since it is not your first language. All your posting probably strengthens your understanding.

Everyone has their own gifts, things they are good at and things they are not so great at. just be your true self and you'll be a genius to yourself and spread yourself to others. That is genius.

Mickey, you are a wonderful person. I think you are very supportive and kind-hearted. You do this very well. I'm not sure if you're referring to college and jobs, but I think a lot of things that people do well, take practice and while they may have a natural talent or ability, there's a lot of effort involved in doing something well. Take engineering (as just a random example), someone may have a natural ability in math, but they need to put in lots of hours of work and studying to get good at it and do well. It's not a smooth road either. For anybody.

I would substitute 'talented' for genius.

Sure, it is true of just about everyone. You have to be, just to learn language

Maybe you’re actually shooting too low.

Everyone thought I was an airhead when I was younger. I’m not very good at ordinary things. I’m better at things most people hate, like reading contracts and writing policy.
