This thread is not for those who love sugar-coating or meant to be sugar-coated
This thread is for hard truths I just HATE seeing covered up with LIES

It has ALWAYS been obvious to me some “thrown” facts are just lies

These are the following examples:
Being vulnerable is a sign of strength - not a sign of strength, but a sign that you’re gonna get hurt. ALLOT
Depression is a sign of strength - not a strength, but a weak state of mind to be in. You don’t see strong people saying “I want to die” or have a low brain functioning capacity, so enough with the lies
Going to therapy means you’re strong - no, it means you can’t handle human life for whatever reason, HOW does that mean you’re strong?
There is hope - that’s the worst one. I once called the hotline and talked about my wishes to be a manager at work. The person said “But everyone wants to”
Well no sh**, it’s like when I want to reach high, some “helpers” tell you to “hold your horses”. How does he expect me to think reaching for help is a sign of strength if I get mental fallacies such as generalizations thrown like that, ESPECIALLY when they’re negative?

Oh and a little secret - some people talking about being “depressed”, throwing that word while talking, are liars

Done ranting, but I just want to share that frustration about how those sentences are ABSOLUTE bulls***

I agree. If people were living more in reality, life may not be easier, but ppl would have a better chance to try to handle it.

By being told the truth from the start, instead of sugar coating where ppl might not get what the point is.

Unfortunately generalised advice and lip service is here to stay...Those in the emergency services and in health care have a standard set of guidelines to follow...so adages are simply a part of their spiel. Not all simplified advice will be helpful for everyone...but it often is helpful for many.

Gathering resources and finding coping strategies that work is like looking for a needle in a haystack ....but every so often one chances upon something that works, or at least sets us on a path to finding answers. It is true that tireless searching can become disheartening, but the trick is to never give up looking for that individual vital key. This is a Truth that I am certain of.

I don’t care about what is going on behind the scenes. It has to work

I thought about it, and I don't really want to know what is going on behind the scenes. But to think of it, it's no wonder some representatives would go bummed or grumpy and wouldn't mind just ending the conversation already, with sentences such as "Well then I have nothing else to say", or the following rotten fish - "Well good luck in finding a way to help yourself!". It's funny because it's like they don't really care

Yes I agree that 99.999% of people care little about what is going on in our lives...they care more about their own. But to get what we want & need we have to be able to access resources, meaning we must trust that some people have good intentions and something to offer. Otherwise continuing to endeavour to go it alone, we can very well become frustrated bitter and lost. You don't have to take every piece of advice as Gospel, you still get to choose what to take on, and what to toss in the trash.

That's like saying "Eat our burgers. If there's an additive you don't like, just pick through the layers and discard it"

I just had a conversation with a representative about a specific topic, and at one point during the conversation they asked me my age. Then they said "Oh, so you're young, you have allot to live for" like a robot

Jesus, it's so frustrating how USELESS they are!!
I HATE how I can't STUDY because of people who HURT and CAUSE SCARS!
And NO ONE is coming to my aid, NOT EVEN MY PARENTS!

They truly hate and don't care about me
Funny, I remember the last representative talking about me wanting to take care of people as an act of "revenge". No, and I hope for him he will not continue to assume that. This is about justice and making the world a better place - by ridding it of people who abuse and destroy people for power

I cannot live peacefully in such world where such people are left unattended

Exactly...Perfect analogy . Except for abiding by the law and paying our bills & taxes, we pretty much get to choose all the rest.

Well, I forgot to say I don't like picking through my meal - I want it fresh and great, without the bad bits
