I need a reliable car. That costs money. I am thinking of moving out on my own, also costly. Money or lack there of is a stressor big time. Additionally I've been applying to jobs. Part time but some pay as much as my full time did. Which means my student loan won't be discharged (can't make above poverty level for discharge for 3 years). And that bill will hit me when i am out on my own.

Last time i cracked. I was financially stressed, unmedicated, working full time and part time, living in a 2 bedroom affordable housing apartment, seeing my daughter alternate weekends. Had a certified used car, meaning car payment, and insurance. Then i was recovering from my con artist ex who had ruined my credit.

And my daughter's dad hit with a guardian ad litem bill. I walked off my job. Quit my part time job, left my apartment and stuff, ended up in hospital, crisis house. Kicked out of crisis house, back in hospital, ended up at moms house or homeless. Erts came up but stayed at mom's. Now subsidized is coming up. I have just enough saved from taxes for deposit and first month rent. A trade to put down on car.

But am I pushing myself too much? Mom approves of newer used car. But not of moving. All the apps i sent months ago are finally coming to fruition. Being independent was my main goal with my case manager. But I'm worried about adding a car payment. Because it's more insurance too. But to work i need a relible car.

Should i get a financial support person? They handle the bills and give me allowance. For a small fee I'm told. Makes me nervous to let go of control but i do get stressed about money.

When I moved out on my own I was terrified of failing so I made sure I had a good bit in savings so that I could fall back on that in case work got slow. I ended up needing it too. So of course I'd tell you that while moving out is good, timing it so you can stay out is more important than getting out ASAP.

Well the car I wanted sold. Thinking of getting AAA and driving my car until it dies or needs a new engine. Back to looking for a job. And possibly moving on my own though I don't have a lot saved. It's too hard for me to save but I saved my tax return.
