Who needs drugs or alcohol when there
are so many natural highs, like:

Falling in love...

Laughing so hard your face hurts...

Hugging the person you love...

Getting mail/email...

A hot shower...

No lines at the Super Wal-mart...

A special glance...

Taking a drive on a pretty road...

Lying in bed listening to the rain outside...

Hearing your favorite song on the radio...

Sitting by a campfire with your love watching the embers...

Finding the item you want is on sale for half price...

Chocolate milkshake...

A phone call from your baby...

A bubble bath...

Hot towels out of the dryer...

Just simply giggling...

A good conversation...

Finding a $20 bill in your coat from last winter...

Laughing at yourself...

Running through sprinklers...

Laughing for absolutely no reason at all...

Having someone tell you that you're beautiful...

Laughing at an inside joke...

Accidentally overhearing someone say something nice about you...

Waking up and realizing you still have a few hours left to sleep...

Late night talks with your lover...

Playing with a new puppy...

Having someone massage your head...

Sweet dreams...

A steaming cup of hot chocolate...

Road trips with your baby...

Watching a good movie cuddled up on a couch with someone you love...

Swinging on swings...

Wrapping presents under the Christmas tree with Christmas music playing with your love...

Song lyrics printed inside your new CD so you can sing along without feeling stupid...

Going to a really good concert...

Getting butterflies in your stomach every time you see that one person...

Making eye contact with a cute stranger...

Making chocolate chip cookies!

Having your friends send you homemade cookies!

Spending time with close friends...

Winning a really competitive game...

The feeling after running a few miles...an accomplishment!

The feeling you get the first time you step on stage...

Going to the beach...

Seeing smiles and hearing laughter from your friends...

Holding hands with someone you care about...

A nice, long backrub...

Running into an old friend and realizing that some things (good or bad) never change...

Discovering that love is unconditional and stronger with time...

Watching the expression on someone's face as they open a much-desired present from you...

Riding the best roller coasters over and over...

Kisses on your forehead from the first and only person you have ever loved...

Watching the sunrise...

Getting out of bed every morning and thanking God for another beautiful day...

Seeme like almost everything here involves doing it with someone who loves you.............what if you're alone? It makes you feel kind of bad.

You don't necessarily have to do it with someone you love. Lot of these can be done alone. Natural Highs

There's a worse loneliness than not having someone to love. It's having someone you love that doesn't reciprocate the feeling. Being enough unto yourself is the greatest goal. Natural Highs

That is true. Loving someone who doesn't feel the same way can tear you apart. You do what you can.

There are still many things left to do alone, I am a loner and I see beautiful things just in nature, alone too.
My family isn't into that stuff so I do it alone, and I enjoy the peace. And if I were to be single again, I'd love it, with age I have grown to appreciate time, simple pleasures. By when I said single I didn't mean widowed so I do not want anyone to think I meant that.
You can enjoy sunsets and sunrises, rides around places, museums, smelling flowers at a plant nursery or public gardens, though because you feel down right now, there are things that a person alone still can enjoy, so do not lose faith, give it a try, maybe even start with a walk in the park, or along the shore if you happen to live near one of the coasts.
Give it a try Natural Highs

I like your list, many I engage in and alone too Natural Highs
I agree with this post you just posted, many things can be done alone, and about having someone you love that doesn't reciprocate, I personally would want to be alone.
Like the things on the list, especially playing with a pup, I give my 8 year old dog hugs and kisses and it makes me feel content, even if we nap together, ha!ha!

I love going to nurseries and just looking down an isle and seeing all the beautiful colors! I slowly make my way around the nursery and wish I had one of each of everything. To me, it's better than going to a park! There's nothing like going to the beach and sitting in silence, listening to the waves, watching them come in and go out and even listening to the seagulls while watching that they aren't overhead! LOL When it rains, I purposely either don't get out of bed or go lay down, depending on the time of day, just to listen to the rain falling on my roof and around the house. I open up all the windows and doors. Natural Highs I prefer to do all of this alone with no distractions. I almost never go out to the back yard when hubby starts a fire because he talks too much! I can't relax enough to allow myself to be hypnotized by the fire... (sigh)

Hot dang! After the county fair, I just may take our RV and go camping! Alone!! LOL
