Hi I have a mental illness so it is hard for me to make friends, so if anyone here would like to be my friend that is okay, Dont be afraid I wont bite. I just care about people so much and I want to help them if they need it.I really don't have anyone to talk to except for one friend. She suggested that I try to make friends online,I have been told that I have a good heart.Believe it or not I am actually shy.

I am here for you, my friend!

People with many "friends" can feel alone at times too.
I think the important thing to know is that you will always have yourself; it's better to be comfortable by yourself than be lonely surrounded by people... because oh god - does that feel awful.

Here are a few things you might consider that would have you interact with people in real life.At each of these you need not participate at all - at least not verbally - and it would get you out of the house rather than further isolating yourself.

Find a club of interest to you. A book club is a great idea. You would be welcome just to attend and listen. Any of those I have been to do not pressure everyone to talk. But it would be a great way just to be around people - which is a really good idea for those of us with a mental illness.

So, what about a support group? These too do not require one to talk. Again, this would put you around people only in this case they are akin to yourself.

Art class?

I realise you are looking for on line social support here but I strongly recommend getting out as, self-isolation can be detrimental to our mental health.

I’m here for you if you would like a bear as a friend

I’ve found some very good friends online, there’s nothing “wrong” with it.
