I really wish I could be posting this in the Announcement section because I want everyone to read it. I opened by inbox today to find one of those SCAM letters. This person said they have a large amount of money and wnat me to cash their check and give them a portion BLA BLA BLA. If there is a member that is unaware of this scam please do not even waste your time or money. What happens is this person gives you a large check, probably from a big name bank. The check goes through, but weeks later the bank comes to you and says the funds are not there and you owe $______ amount! It is a BIG SCAM. I was blown away to see that these people have invaded Psych Central. I am really irritated to be bothered with that here!!!!!!!! I do not know if anything can be done to block these con artists, but if there is Doc John please DO IT.

I'm sorry you and others got this spam message. Unfortunately, this is not a perfect science, yet I think we really do a great job at fixing problems like this when we are made aware of them. This is exactly what DocJohn did. As soon as he knew about it, he took care of it  I know it's no fun getting stuff like that. Please curley, anytime you have a problem with ANYTHING, feel free to pm all mods/admin or any of us individually so that we are aware of a problem and can get it fixed immediately. We take everyone's safety to heart and want your experience here to be a positive one.  xoxoxo sabby |
