I wanted to share with everyone the ongoing things with both of my daughters. So many of you have been so supportive with care, thoughts and prayers. I thank you more than you know.

With my oldest...she's due on the 9th. However, she just had her ultrasound yesterday and an OB appointment. Everything looks GREAT. He's about 7/1 though he's measuring three weeks small. They said he has chipmunk cheeks and plenty of hair (which is odd because I can't imagine him anything but blond with knowing his parents...lol) They said it could be anytime or two weeks. She's slightly dilated, thinning out with his head down and in position, so that anxious wait for "the phone call" is on. My daughters I can't wait to meet him!

With my youngest...Whew!

She's entered into another hyperthyroid period called postpartum thyroidtosicosis. It's been horrible and her liver is involved more than it ever was the two times before.

The endo has said that surgery is what needs to happen at this point. She's sick, tired, resentful and petrified. She's clearly sick and traumatized by all this and doesn't want to leave her 3 month old little boy.

She has her liver ultrasound and more bloodwork on Monday, and sees the endo midweek to find out about surgery. In the meantime he's removed the meds used to stabalize her thyroid and put her on drops used in emergency situations and to prepare the thyroid for surgery.

Again, I appreciate you more than I know and I will keep y'all posted during all of this.

Her son, 3-month-old Johnathon, is doing BEAUTIFULLY. He's perfect, above average in development and doesn't appear even touched by this horrible disease while in the womb. He's a true miracle and the thought of him brings a big smile to my face and tear to my eye. My daughters

Love and thanks,

KD

I hope your family know and realise how lucky they are to have you, caring and nurturing, you are a true inspiration.

I will pray muchly for your youngest daughter.

Sounds like your eldest daughter is nearly there, so exciting, another miracle waiting to join us on the planet. Can't wait for new baby to arrive.

Sending my love to you and your family always. My daughters

What an emotional roller coaster you must all be riding on.

From loving expectations of a new baby to the joy of Jonathan and then the reality of your daughters illness and surgery looming. Wow...I just can't imagine going through all that.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers everyday. I know you will all make it through this difficult yet exciting time together.

Hi Kimmy,

Well first, congrats on the coming new grandchild! I'm glad to hear that all is well with Mom and the baby. Just a comment about the hair. He may be born blond, but...my son was born with light blond hair. He's now 17 and has dark brown hair. Those things can change over time. Please give Mom my best.

I'm so sorry to hear that your younger daughter is sick. It can be so heartbreaking watching our children go thru these times. I hope that whatever happens, she ends up healthy and happy. I'll be keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Keep your head up and try to be strong when you can.

My love to all there,
Greg

Wow - what a lot to be going through at once, a real emotional rollercoaster. I hope that your daughter's surgery goes well and that your other daughter's delivery goes smoothly - it must be neat to have two grandchildren born so close together.

Kimmy,

It is wonderful to hear good news right at this point......the expectations of a new grandson & Mother doing well, & your 3 month old grandbaby doing so well with everything that was going on there.

I pray that your daughter will do well with the surgery. Sometimes we just have to do things we don't want to do to make ourselves well. The surgery won't take her away from her baby that long....they never leave people in the hospital for any length of time anymore....surgeries are over & home again before we even realize they are done....the anticipation is much worse than the actual surgery.

My prayers are with your whole family & you as you give so much of yourself to your family. It is a very beautiful relationship that exists there.

Hugz,
Debbie
