This is one great way to have fun AND network for potential jobs and/or housing: the radio! I hadn't really thought much about the networking use until the dj mentioned if he had permission to give possible employers/others my contact information. I'm not talking about the guy who was going to walk naked down by the highway, either--I'm talking about someone at a Christian radio station. He called me to be the winner/announcer for a segment called "My 3 Songs". It's on in a half-hour, so I'm typing this fast so I can hear myself! LOL For this segment, I emailed him the titles of three songs on the radio that are special to me and told him why. My reasons for the songs I chose included my current and past situations of being unemployed and homeless and the volunteers and support I've come across. He thought the songs matched my situation perfectly, especially my first one, "Lean on Me", as kind of a thank you to all those who help others. If you want to hear me and are online at 5pm Central Time, go to 106.7 the Fish and you can listen online!

BTW, I also win a 3-CD gift pack of Christian music groups! I can't remember who he said, but it's current popular titles. Radio Networking! Listen to me if UR online!

Within two minutes of the segment ending, I got my first call from someone with information and wanting to send me some "dollars". It was a little hard for me to hear because I was in a parking garage at the time, but she's emailing me. Wow!
