I went to court yesterday to request a dismissal for my felony charges. The minutes from my last court date 5 years ago stated that charges would be dismissed in 2 years. NOT that simple. It was touch and go for most of the day. I have never seen the public defenders, the probation dept. court clerk and the judge research and pull together to help anyone as much as they helped me yesterday. They were great. And Bless my sister, she asked for a day off of work. She absolutely loves her job too! Anyway, she and I sat there all day with our ulcers blaring. The decision at the end was in the hand of the district attorney. But 7 hours later I walked out of the court room with blessings from the judge and big hugs from the court clerk. And the Big Cherry on top. I can come back in two years and the judge will expunge my charges. Woooopie.
Thank you everyone for all your thoughts and prayers. BUT I am asking for the same again. Because within the next week or so I will go in front of the tribal council in hopes of having my job reinstated. It is really scarey when other people hold your future in their hands. So I am asking once again for everyones best thoughts and prayers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
