I have been considering going back to therapy for sometime now, and I finally think I am ready. I don't feel comfortable talking about my issues, so I figured I would call my old T. Even though she isn't covered under my insurance and I can't afford to see her weekly, maybe I could see her once a month or she can suggest some one I may feel comfortable with that would be covered. Anyway I can't find her card! Every year she would send me a holiday card with her business card inside. But she didn't last year and I guess won't be this year either. I can't find any of those business cards. So I tried google, i can't find her!!! This sucks

And that's the end of my rant.

I am sorry, I understand I had a T that I really liked that just fell of the face of the earth a few years back. I used to get cards every x-mas from her then one year nothing don't know what happened, it is sad I would just like to know if she is all right. O well guess it is just the way it is. I hope you find yours.

Do you know any professional organizations that your T belonged to? If she is a psychologist, she may be listed as a member of APA. You can also check with the state's registry of mental health providers, usually through your state gov web-site.

Another option might be to contact your local mental health association to see if they have a publicly accessible provider directory. Worst case senario is that if it isn't public, they may be willing to pass along your contact info to her.

She had her own private practice I believe. But that's a good idea to check the state registry of mental health providers. Thanks!
