I'm little concerned about a friend. She moved back to town a couple of months ago. A mutual friend told me that my friend and her husband split up. I was shocked to hear that, though I shouldn't have been after looking at some of her Facebook posts. Still, I knew both well from our time at Montana's. The mutual friend said that she was doing better without him.

She has seemed to have been struggling with her mental health. She moved about five years ago for a new marketing job, which she said she loved. I think being away from most of her friends and family, especially during the pandemic, really took a toll on her too. I saw her last night at her new restaurant job. She seemed okay, but I could tell she had been through a lot.

I guess I'm just shocked at what happened. She seemed so happy where she was. I don't want to push for details because it's really none of my business. My gut is telling me that something isn't quite right. I know she won't do anything to harm herself or something like that. I just hope she isn't going through what I have gone through. It is not a place I would wish my worst enemy to be in.

I'm sure she appreciated me reaching out. Maybe it's just my empathic nature.

Maybe you can just let her know that if she wants to talk, you're there to listen? I bet she would appreciate that.

She told me that she has gluten and dairy intolerance now (like she hasn't had enough to deal with!). I have been trying some special diet baking and I was thinking of giving her some samples. I just don't want her to think I'm trying to hit on her.
