It seems to me that the line between what you can and cannot talk about here is getting thinner. In my opinion dissent is healthy. It does no good to stiffle people.

We are supposed to be a community but when things happen that are relevant to the community we cannot talk about them. Im feeling bound and gagged

I have had some problems with that too. At the risk of crossing the line, are you talking about something in particular? Maybe you should PM an administrator first before taking it public?

with all the respect i have for PC, Doc, and all the members, i have to say i agree with you allthegirls...

no one forces us to be here... there are rules everywhere... but, its kinda like when you're a member at your school or work... you want to have inclusive discussions about the environment... i know its touchy and feelings get hurt tho... just wish we could find a healthy and positive way tho..

great post. The answer is healthy discussion. It seems like things start off healthy then the thread gets angry then admin lock it.

i think that describes it pretty well... too bad when we lose our tempers... wish we could see the larger whole picture and try our best tho... it is unhealthy to feel stifled too...

I'm sorry if you didn't receive a response, allthegirls. A good idea there, might be to forward that PM back to the original admin, then to another admin to be addressed. There could be MANY reasons for the delay...pressing site issues to a discussion being had on the topic.

Please forward or send again.

As far as feeling stifled, there should really be no surprises on posts/threads that are edited. Anything edited is done so in accordance with the guidelines...which all members acknowledge reading before joining.

Now there are cases where I can see it being confusing and those are usually cases of an ongoing disagreement between members where it's been mentioned in a way that the other parties involved are aware of...feeling flaming. Those types of posts can and usually are pulled, and I know that can appear confusing to members not involved.

If there's ever ANY question, PM one, some or all of the mod/admin team. We'll answer to the best of our ability while maintaining any confidences we have.

If you have a concern/issue with the current guidelines, those should be addressed directly with admin. and in PM.

Thanks!

KD

Yes, what might feel healthy for some, might not feel healthy for others and we sometimes have to act for the whole within the guidelines that are expected to be maintained for all.

Thanks. thin line

Again, further discussion of guideline issues should be directed to admin.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
