As some of you know, my laptop (Compy) and I have not been getting along these days. We had quite the arguement the other night, as Compy would not allow me to chat here on psychcentral. It didn't matter what I said, it didn't matter what I did. Compy would not bend. I growled at Compy, which Rapunzel said was abusive. To my eyes, I was the one being abused, though. *sigh* Troubled relationship... Things got worse. Things were said, internet connections were completely shut off for days... Feelings were hurt.

We considered couples counseling, but I finally made the decision to send Compy to the computer doc. I missed Compy every single day!!! Today my Compy came home, and still was not allowing me on the internet. I found out, though, through careful sleuth work (and a call to the computer doc), that it was actually my STUPID router that was the culprit. Compy was innocent all along!

And so, my beloved Compy, since I publicly flogged, humiliated, and growled at you here on psychcentral, I apologize publicly. You have always been there for me. Can we work it out? I love you!!!

I have never been more convinced of anything more than this: You are unbelievably awesome! (Weird too) but you just really put a smile in my day.
Compy is ultimately responsible for what happens in his/her house; like a parent who is in charge of keeping the house running smoothly, compy should have at the least alarmed you that there was a child who was ill.
I think you have let compy off the hook too easily.

Well thank you everyone for sharing in this experience with me- you know, the bad times when we all growled at poor little Compy in chat and I even received emails and pms giving Compy a good talking to- as well as the good times, like when I realized my Compy had remained true to me afterall! *sigh*

Jon: Compy has limitations just like everyone else. But I think you were just a little too hard on Compy. Compy was taking care of business, I just didn't know it! And we are happy together again. Oh, and yes indeed, I am weird. I was the drama club president in highschool and now I'm a psych major. Did you expect anything different? Glad my strangeness could bring a smile to someone's face
