to get email notification on your fav threads when someone responds? also, i don't know if i'm posting this in the right area, but letting new members know beforehand that they're allowed only 5 posts in a 24 hr period, would be really helpful. you would know to only post things that are most important to you, as well as respond to posts that you deem more important than others, until that restriction is lifted. if there was a notification as soon as u click on new post or reply, it would save a person from writing a post or reply,(especially if it's lengthy one), only to find out after u click submit, that you're over your limit. How annoying.

Hi CANDOR!

You can get email notification of fav threads by signing up for them in your MY Profile section drop down of Edit Subscriptions. Now I'm not sure about things at the moment, I know there was a site problem with that option not so long ago. I'll check to see if it's been remedied.

I don't know exactly what comes up when a person signs up for membership here. I'll do some searching or maybe another mod/admin is more familiar with the posting limit information and where it may have been listed in the joining process.

I'm sorry you were annoyed and I do hope that your time here will be positive and helpful.

Is there any way?

Hello again CANDOR,

At this time, subscriptions to favorite threads has been disabled....but may be enacted again soon.

As for the posting limit as a new member goes, when you signed up for your account, at the end of the Mission Statement and PsychCentral Guidelines that you must agree to in order to register your membership is a line that tells that you are limited to 5 posts per day up to the first 15 post.

Is there any way?

Well thanks 4 the info Sabby. altho, i still think that there should be some kind of pop up notice, b4 u try to post or respond letting you know what you're limit is or how many u got left. i signed up in july last year. i'm just beginning to post now, i don't remember everything the membership agreement stated & i'm sure i'm not the only 1. i imagine most people out here have a million & 1 things going thru their minds, so reminders can only help, not hurt. thanks again, take care.C

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
