This is really weird but maybe somebody else knows the answer to this one. Why Can't I Sleep?

I didn't sleep last night and I can't remember if I slept the night before but I can't sleep tonite either...my mind is racing too fast. It's weird but the longer I go without sleep the more thoughts go racing thru my head (not even connected thoughts) and the more hyperactive I become! Why Can't I Sleep?

Any thoughts anybody? Why Can't I Sleep?

Sleep deprivation makes me forget alot, it also makes my thought processing either very slow or very dark (meaning cloudy or hazy). I've suffered from insomnia for years, so long I've actually become very accustom to it. The racing thoughts could be a maniac episode, a bi polar symptoms. I'd definitely look into that because I think that can effect sleep as well.

That remark about bi-polar is what I've been thinking about to be honest. My doc told me a long time ago she thinks I may have it but she says it's too complicated to diagnose in my case coz of other problems I have. But I've just read a pc link about it and sat there and thought that is so me. Guess I just wanted to know what others thought as my doctor is seriously apathetic when it comes to mental health, hence being online to learn for myself.

Thanx for your input, it is helpful. Why Can't I Sleep?

Sure hun.

The best insight definitely comes from self research. There's tons of bi polar quizzes and such online that can kind of give you an idea how it correlates with you. I'd bring it up again to the doc if you get the chance to see what he says...it couldn't hurt.

I hope you find what your looking for.
