I guess when it's a novelty....it's really fun.....I just came in from playing with my doggies in the snow.....sadly, with only 4 inches, it's already melting & the ground is showing through except for the hilly part of my farm.

I had to laugh......my oldest eskie ( daddy dog) was running along & hit one of the deep spots & fell in over his head.......They absolutely love tearing around in the snow....it's like super energy. I had 4 of them out at one time & just let them off their leashes (I am still afraid they will run into the street....I am such a protective mommy).....but they have several acres of open space to just run around.

Then I took them down into the woods....needed to see where all the water actually lies, so I don't put my barn in the middle of a lake.....lol.....& there are some good sized water holes where I was actually planning on putting the barn.

I had to laugh cause Momma dog was just running around & when I called her to come, she came.....landed up to her eyes in a puddle that she didn't think was that deep. Hot shower time & a good dry off for them so they don't get sick.....never know how the sissy California doggies will deal with the cold wet snow....It's actually 36 & sunny out today. The snow ended yesterday around 4pm.

It was fun to see all the birds in my woods....there is even a woodpecker that has been pounding on my gazebo & he was down in the woods making a huge racket while we were down there....sounded like someone with a hammer.

It would have been nice to get a bit more snow than we did....with it melting already.....it would be nice for it to stay all white for at least a few days...but feel lucky to get the wonderful snow we got.

Having the doggies to play in the snow with is as good as having kids. They enjoy it so much......it's really a blast to play with them & throw snowballs at them......what an awsome way to enjoy my first winter here.

I have now dug my car out of my supposedly cleared apt building parking lot for the 4'th time. The snow pile of cleared snow is level with my landlord's van roof, and I screwed up the angle just the tiniest bit pulling into my spot and got stuck AGAIN. At least my streets are plowed in my part of the city - in some parts of down town they've barely been cleared all winter - no room. And I keep hearing that we're going to get more snow.

I'm going to echo the sentiment of being fed up ... I'm not even going to attempt to leave campus until Thursday or Friday... which hopefully means I won't starve in the meantime, and hopefully I wont need anything I can't get oncampus.

... snow = EVIL. Really pretty, but evil. And the snowplow drivers working at insane hours are keeping me up. (my room faces a parking lot... it's sad to watch people try to leave with snow EVERWHERE and really high snowbanks).

Genuine Canadian snow for sale!! Heck, I'll even find a way to ship massive quantities of it to you. It's SNOWING!!!!!!
