I have a confession to make, and I ask for your forgiveness. You see, I am a Christian; yet my words and my actions sometimes are not always reflective of that.
My faith has been, and is becoming so much more important to me concerning my depression, PTSD, and Bipolar (nos).
I don't talk about it much for several reasons, but one of them is I don't want to give Christianity a bad name by my bad example.
Sometimes I am a little too relaxed in the chat room, as it is one of the few places besides my church that I really feel safe; and I often initiate many inapropriate conversations/topics in the chat room. As I want to feel safe there, and would also want anyone else to feel safe there, I apologize for any offence that I have made.
I LOVE to have a good time, and I think sometimes we need to have some fun and just "forget" for awhile our "crap" we are dealing with; I will just try to do so in a more appropriate manner.
I am so grateful for the forums, and also for the chat room; I feel that I have connected with many wonderful people.
Thanks for all your love and support, and help me as I try better to live up to my beliefs but also have some much needed fun.
Blessings,
Jon

Forgiven!

And me, too. I do the same sometimes. Get a little too carried away, trying to distract from my problems you know.

Rut roh....if we are going to have to start confessing our inappropriate remarks here, I'm in wads of trouble. I'd spend the day filling up DocJohn's brand new servers!! Let's put a stop to this idea immediately! Confession

It's okay Jon, you have my forgiveness. I absolutely love chatting with you in the chat room, you have such a way of making me forget about my problems when I really need to. I haven't always been too appropriate in there either, so I am also guilty. Confession We can watch each other's words. Confession Don't worry, I've got your back.

Always,
Adrienne

You may be a Christian, but you are a human being - first and foremost. Like you, this is one of my 'safe' places - safer than being in a session with my shrink. It's ok to let loose - as long as there is respect for people. So far, I have found you a good person to talk to. You have a wonderful sense of humour.

Those who know you know that you would never offend anyone on purpose. Everyone has probably said something 'inappropriate'.

Personally, if I try to restrict myself to behave within my religious background, I would be denying some of my real 'needs' - to have fun, to be human. Gee, does that make sense?

If you want to be more Christian, that's fine, but I guess what I'm trying to say is that I like you just the way you ARE.

I still second SS8282. I like you just the way you are, a funny, caring, big-hearted and out-going person. There is no need for you to change, you are a good person and a good christian. I feel so blessed to be able to call you my friend.
