I was at the grocery store today to buy some ice and the Easter candy called my name....yes I know I didn't need the candy but whatever. Anyway I got to the front with my Easter bunny and Resses eggs and put them on the belt and the guy in front of me was almost done checking out and he turned to me and said do you mind if I pay for your candy? I was like um what? He said he wanted to buy me my candy as an Easter present. I said ok so he bought my candy and off he went. I was so surprised. Nothing like that has ever happened to me before. I think I met the Easter bunny today.

Jbug...what an interesting experience! He was the Easter Bunny!
Thank you for sharing that! It must have made you feel strange????!!!!
I have an act of kindness to share also. I teach middle school, and a student who is very bright, from a big family, is in track. I asked him if he needed help buying his track uniform, and he assured me "no" as he didn't need it. But then, on this past Thursday, there was an after school dance. He came to me confidentially and asked if I could provide $4 so he could go to the dance, as he didn't have to attend track practice. He said he would need to call his mom for approval. I agreed, and gave him my cell phone to call her. I asked him also if he needed money for food, as they would be selling pizza and drinks, to which he said, "No, I don't need any food." He was so sweet about it. His mom said it was okay, and I gave him $6 so he could go to the dance and buy food. He hugged me and thanked me.

I love hearing these stories, there are so many kind and wonderful people in the world!

Reminds me of the "Pay it Forward" movie.

this reminds me of when i first came to the city. i fell asleep in a nightclub on a big comfy couch I thought I'd share the Random Act of Kindness given to me today i was stick thin at the time so musta looked like i needed feeding up. this guy woke me up, told me the place was closing soon but i had enuff time to get some food in. then he shocked me by handing me a meal and walking away. after i'd ate the meal i got up to leave and he came back over and asked me if i knew where the black cab rank was. i didn't so he walked me there, told the driver to take me home and stay parked up til i waved from the window that i was home safe. then he handed the driver $40, said stay safe, walked away and i never saw him again. wicked introduction to a city. I've done that before only I try to do it as anonymous as possible. Why? I don't know but sometimes it just feels right.

Cool story, and cool more experiences. I love the stories as well. I appreciate people doing kind things just because they can. There was a man who stopped with his friend and helped my friend with pneumonia with a flat. He could not get the spare released so he took the tire to a friend's and came back with it patched and pumped. This was country road. My friend went to pay him and he said give a check to the local fire department. Cool. I have NEVER had to change a flat as good men have come and done it for me. Now that I probably can't due to health I hope the good men keep coming.

My dear friend Gill before he was a dear friend he was our mechanic. I bought my son a used vehicle from him and about 10 days later the transmission fluid leaked and started a fire and the car war charcoal. it was not his fault at all but being that it was son's car with liability only it kinda stunk but we were fine about it. He called and told my son to come on over and gave him a car. That car lasted 5 years! He was a good man.

the one that sticks out in my mind is when my mother in law died. we did not have the money to fly to kansas but my bil paid for my husband and myself to go. my daughter really wanted to go but I did not have the money. an online friend knew this and wired me the money for an immediate ticket. she would not let me pay her back. she said pay it forward. I cried for days.

Random acts of kindness from me:

I was once at a Timmie's in my family's neighbourhood, and the guy behind me helped me bring everything to my table. When I finally got there and he left... I realized I had forgotten to pay. Went to the front to pay, and they said he had paid for me.

I still remember this to this day, some people are so generous.

All these stories made me smile. thanks!

I took a similar approach for some of my xmas gifts this year. I gave 4 friends $50 American Express gift cards with the direction they were to pay it forward to those in need that they came a.cross

What was even nicer was when I got home my neighbor's boyfriend offered to help me into the house with my groceries. I'm on crutches again due to my sprained knee and as soon as he saw me put my crutches outside the car he came over and was tripping all over himself to help me. I didn't need any help but let him unlock my door for me. I am really good at carrying things in Walmart bags with my crutches.

Really awesome stories!

Back in highschool, my hockey team had just won a tournament, and we were celebrating. There was a Tim Hortons right by the arena, and when I came out of the arena with my team behind me, the coach of the OTHER team shook our hands for a good game, and gave us two boxes of Timbits that he had bought for us as a congrats for winning I thought I'd share the Random Act of Kindness given to me today

It was quite a display of kindness, especially after we had just schooled them in hockey.

I did enjoy the candy LOL. In fact I think I enjoyed it too much as I finished it all last night. I need to not put the bag of candy right next to the couch as it's way to easy to just keep reaching into the bag. I'm going back to walmart tonight to get more now that the holiday is over the candy will be marked down.

Earlier this summer when I was in a really bad place my friend and yoga teacher was over for a restorative practice. I mentioned to her that I was getting a massage that day, hoping that would help. We go to the same place for massages.
Well, I get to my massage and am talking to my massage therapist who I have known for awhile. i was pretty much pouring out all this crap.
After all that she said "I really wanted to wait until we were done but I think it would help to tell you now. Erin called ahead and paid for your massage."
I was so surprised and so very touched. My restorative yoga, massage and surprise did help. It put a smile on my face and still does.
