In a long running egotistical turf war between psychologists and psychiatrists?
I sometimes wonder whether they are more enamoured of intellectual point scoring than caring about the mentally ill they get paid to treat.

i think most really want to help... it is a vastly complex question teejai... imo... yes, good angle.....

lets not forget birth defects etc..... are they also the result of mental disintegrations? i can think of a few examples that would prove so..

yet... the unknown is what drives the search for knowing.... do we have absolutely all the answers yet? science is in its youth.....

people tho that are recipients of mal-practice have rights......

i try to never forget that all things are in a process of growth and that human input does affect that in large ways...

so.... back to the question... was it the chicken or the egg????

im saying the egg came first just cause there wouldnt be a chicken without an egg.... well.. where did the egg come from?

the unknown brings us back to the need for science and the natural inclination of humans to search for answers to the mystries of the unknown.... slowly, the truth is revealed to all... if there is time...

It is hard to remove ego from discovery..somehow it validates our existence..

IMHO.
