Nothing good ever comes from letting legislators mess with insurance or electricity (California where they legislated how much to pay for it, despite how much it literally costs).

The problem with parity is the cost; mental illness is like dental insurance; only those that need it use it so there's no body of people who have it and don't need it who pay for most of it like other health insurance.

I always had health insurance at work but never got sick so I was helping pay for those who did; that's what insurance is and how it works. Can't do that with dental or mental health because only people who need it have it -- it's like pet insurance.
