today i had an appointment with a lovely person from a programe called fit for life
(this is what fit for life is (fit for life has been set up with finacial support from the big lottery fund, we aim to help you put the zest back into your lifeby discovering the pleasure of social, leisure and recreational activities) we made plans for me to join a group to go swimming every wed at dinner time later on i can join a gym or a walking group not only is it for my weight problems but will help me over come some of my social anxieties and i will meet more pplalso shes left me with a form that i can claim a grant which is to aid me on getting fitter

That's really neat, Kathy! Did you read about the whole program and how it works?
http://www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/pr_...regioncode=-uk We don't have a national lottery, only various state lotteries. My state uses the money for education (but doesn't teach the kids not to waste their money on lottery tickets; anything about probability in maths classes or anything).
