Normally I love snow day's as much as the kids do. This morning however, my son did not turn on the TV and learn that school was closed. He likes to get to school very early so it's not unusual for us to be the first people there; I always wait to make sure that the doors are unlocked before leaving. As I was walking through the door at home, my phone was ringing off the hook, school was closed. Snow Day I had to go back out to get him.

I wonderful opportunity to sleep in was lost.

Yeah, the snow we've gotten over the past 24 hours has really P*SSED ME OFF!

It's just so frustrating. All the snow in my yard was gone. I heard birds. I took my kids outside to play.

Now it looks like December again.

I think there's a direct corollary between the number of inches of snow we get and how depressed I feel.

Snow fall minus temp equals how crappy I feel. Or GRRRR minus CRAP equals KILL ME!

Snow on April 1 is just plain wrong. Our snowpile in the back parking lot has now shrunk enough that you can at least see the windows in my landlord's van. I really hope that we don't get any more snow.

The one good thing about getting snow this late in the season is that it doesn't last as long. I don't feel completely safe from snow until we hit May. It's not unusual for us to get a good foot of wet and very heavy snow anytime during April....Heaven help us!!!

As sabby said, it's a really odd season, in the morning the roads were so bad that school was called off, by 3pm, it was like the whole storm never happened, except the bare patches in the yard are now covered in snow again, but the roads look like it's been months.
