Well, it was a minor one, but it jerked me so much I had to go to the hospital, get Xrays, take today and tomorrow off work and take pain meds.
It was really scary being in the ambulance and the hospital and be tied down with that collar on my neck. I just breathed really deep and kept telling myself I was safe.
I went and picked up my car after being released from the hospital, but the whole time driving I was afraid someone would clip my back end again.
I have to go to T today, so that is good, but I hate that I have to drive there! Car accident on my way to work

If it aint one thing it's another. This year is too big of a mess...

Wow, that must have been really scary. I'm glad you weren't hurt too badly.

I am ok, just got some muscle tension (?) I forget, but my right side back and neck really bother me. I have a pounding headache and just ate so I could take something.

It was my first accident and I was so nervous. The guy just pulled out from the parking lot across the street and was turning into my lane like I wasn't even there!!!
I veered to the right to try to avoid him hitting me and he just clipped my back end. We would have hit towards the front of the car if I didn't move.
He was an elderly gentleman, too so my first instinct was to make sure HE was ok. He said yes and then I noticed that my neck was really starting to hurt.
By the time I got to the hospital it really hurt.
Nothing broken, just something with my muscles....cuz they huuuuurt!
I hear that I am going to feel worse tomorrow....great! I am staying home tomorrow from work cuz the meds they are putting me on will make me out of it and I can't drive on them.

Anyways, I am ok....can't get rid of me that easily! Car accident on my way to work

That's a great way to think about it!! 3rd time - you're done. No more bad stuff, and it's only April. So smooth sailing for the rest of the year - right?!

I'm very glad the accident wasn't more serious and that the other individual is ok...and that you will be ok. It sounds like you did a wonderful job getting through all the stress and fear you were feeling. You handled the situation wonderfully...and you have a great attitude about it all now too. Keep laughing hon....it's better than all the medicine in the world! Feel better soon!

Thanks everyone. I am having more pain now, so I will be taking pain meds soon, but I wanted you all to know how much I appreciate you all so much.
I have some really great friends here!!!

I am definitely gonna keep trying to laugh.
The Insurance guy called and he is filing a claim with the elderly gents Insurance. He asked me if I thought there was any way at all to have avoided the collision...I told him "only if I slammed on the brakes, but I didn't know who was behind me and was afraid that would cause more problems"...he told me that the older gents Insurance will probably ask me the same thing.
Oh, and I found out that I don't have Medical on my insurance...just collision! Soooo, hopefully the other insurance will take care of me...*crosses fingers*

Anyways, thanks for always being there.

BJ
