Today I did it....I started my Christmas shopping. Last night I had to return my desk to walmart because after trying to put it together and finding several very important pieces bent and not able to be used I took it back and got my money back. Anyway I went to Dilly Dally's www.dillydallys.com and started on buying Christmas presents. I have all but 2 children bought for all for under $25. This thrills me because I am usually a last minute get to the mall before it closes kind of shopper. Today is making up for my bad day yesterday.

Wow...I am very impressed. I always buy things at the last minute.

I used to start "official" shopping in October, but I would pick up stuff throughout the year of something caught my eye for a specific person and save it for Christmas, so usually the Xmas shopping wasn't too stressful. I always did end up back in the mall three days before Christmas to get something, not even necessarily a gift, so I kind of feel it wouldn't be "the Holidays" if I didn't spend a few hours in my car at least once just trying to get OUT of the parking lot with all the traffic.

I hate to say this but I think I'm not doing any Christmas shopping at all this year. What with everyone being "too busy" all freaking year to even contact me, and I got zero christmas or birthday presents last year, it doesn't seem worth the energy. Shopping used to be a joy because it was all about the giving, not the receiving, as long as I had some quality time with people around the season. This year I'm disillusioned and I don't think I even care.

Congrats!

I used to have all mine done by September, taking advantage of the summer and school sales... but since no one is in my life any more, well, I DON"T HAVE TO BUY ANY PRESENTS!

This is really great, bug, for you will have them all paid for by the holidays, if you charged anything... how wonderful! I did it

I envy you and your early "get up and go" attitude. I have no idea what I am going to do this year with me being so busy. I will probably end up buying a lot of things online..just easier that way.
I think we should have a christmas party here...maybe in chat or something. I know that I tend to get depressed around the holidays...and I figured that I am not the only one. Maybe a party would make things easier.
