So, I just talked to the Insurance agent for the guy that hit me on tuesday. The guy took the blame...as he should. He told the officer that he didn't see any traffic and didn't see me...I still have no clue how he didn't see me, but whatever.
Anyways, they are going to pay for damage to my car, my medical bills, my pain and suffering, lost work and physical therapy!! WoooHoooo

Now I just have to figure out if I should go thru my insurance and have to worry about Co-Pay or just have everything sent to the Insurance agent of the guy that hit me.

Anyone have any advice? I have never been thru this before and I don't want to sc^$w myself in the long run.

If you filed an accident report with your own insurance company, you should be able to send all bills off to them and they will forward them onto the other insurance company for repayment. Keep a copy of everything you send off so that just in case something is "lost in transition" you have your copy and can forward it on again.

If you didn't file a claim with your own insurance company you may want to speak to your agent about it. Your insurance agent can help with any questions you may have to this too.
Glad to hear that he's admitted to the accident and things will be taken care of. I hope you are feeling better!

I only had collision on my insurance, so because I am not taking the claim from MY insurance, they are out of the loop. My Insurance guy said that if they give me a hard time later then he will help me.

I will talk to the hospital and see what they can do as far as sending me copies of everything they send to the other guys insurance. He said they won't be able to pay me til I am all better and all the bills come in, so that could take some time.

I am not feeling so great today..well...I feel GREAT about the guy taking the blame and his insurance paying me, but I am still in pain. I had to take part of today off because I can't take the pain pill at work or driving!!!

Thanks for the info, Sabby!!

Do you have their offer in writing? I had to use a lawyer with my accident.

Not yet. It was all over the phone for now. We are waiting for all the bills to come in. I hope I don't have to get a lawyer involved.
