I know it should be no biggy. But my little rat terrier Heidi Sue will be going under anesthesia this morning to get her teeth cleaned and a couple of tooth extractions. She's had a couple of infected teeth for awhile now. And this needs taken cared of. Normally .. we wouldnt be so scared. But when hubby was younger, they had a dog die during this prodecure. I know things have come a long way.. and I'm hoping everything will be ok. Just concerned because we love our sweetie pie.

We'd really appreciate it if you keep her in your thoughts, prayers whatever it is you do. She's the closest thing we will ever have to having kids. Thanks.

Hugs
Bethy

We just got a call.. She's fine.. they had to pull two of the big molars.. but she came out of the anesthetic and is doing fine. The'll be giving her some pain killers though.. and we have to soften her food. But I am so glad that my baby is ok. Can I say I just love our vet? She's always been so good to Heidi.. even a while back... when Heidi was so sick with pancreatitis.. our vet took her into her own home to keep an eye on her.. That meant the world to us. And with hubby being off work .. she's given us a discount for doing this. She really does understand how important our Heidi is to us.

Thanks you all so much for your support and well wishes. I am sure Heidi felt them as we did too!!! Please keep Heidi in your thoughts... Please keep Heidi in your thoughts... Please keep Heidi in your thoughts... Please keep Heidi in your thoughts... Please keep Heidi in your thoughts...

I am so happy Heidi is ok!!!!

I have dogs and cats and each has had dental work and I am always a nervous wreck, no matter how old or how healthly.

Just not being near them kills me! Please keep Heidi in your thoughts...

Please keep Heidi in your thoughts... Thank goodness it went well!!!

Thanks so much ((((((((((((((everyone))))))))))))))!!!! Please keep Heidi in your thoughts... Please keep Heidi in your thoughts... Please keep Heidi in your thoughts... Please keep Heidi in your thoughts... Please keep Heidi in your thoughts... Please keep Heidi in your thoughts...

We got her home safe and sound. She is woozy yet.. and kinda walks like she is drunk. But ohhh so sweet.. I held her on my lap the whole way home.. and her eyes were like sleepy.. but she held her head up like she wanted to look around out the windows like she usually does. And she lol... she came home and we let her out to walk on the grass a bit to see if she'd go potty.. and her poor little legs just quivvered when she got in her stance to poo. Hubby and I couldnt help but giggle because we were happy she could poo again ok. Please keep Heidi in your thoughts... Now she wont eat her soft food yet.. I think she knows we are fixing supper now and is probably holding out to see what we are going to eat. I made chicken.. just in case she wouldnt eat anything else. The vet said that would be ok.. just to limit it. Its so good to hear her feet pitter patter on the floor again. She is a real blessing to us.

Thank you Chalmette and Sarah... Heidi is doing pretty good. She is still iffy about eating.. except if its chicken lol. She loves chicken lol. I think the rest of her body is feelin pretty good ... she's back to humping her teddy bear now lol. She's just a bit loopy a little while after giving her the pain pill.. Tomorrow we'll give it every 24 hrs. She's always been fairly resiliant.. just glad she is doing as well as she is. She even got to go bye bye's tonight to go see hubbys mom and dad and brother. She loves that. Big sigh of relief here!!
