i just got a weird call on my cell fone. soon as i picked up this man said "Who's this?" to which i said "No, who's this?" ...lol this went on for a bit til he told me he's a cab driver and he just found a purse in his cab and just wanted to return it. i knew by his accent he's Lancastrian and my baby sis lives there and lost her purse about 2 weeks ago...and e-mailed me a week later red-faced about it coz all my fone numbers were in there. anyway, she now has her purse back but i can't believe how jumpy i got over this fone call...like my stalker's currently in jail and not a Lancastrian anyways. well, at least my baby sis got her purse back. and nice to know there's still honest people out there.

Oh wow...yeah that would be freaky for sure!!!
It amazes me that someone didn't run off with it! Of course I have little faith in people these days. |

That's definitely freaky. It just proves what a small world it is, and it's nice to know that there are some honest people around. Glad your sister got her purse back.

i guess we're lucky in that cab drivers have a good rep for honesty etc here. |

she's glad she got it back too...though she was more worried about my fone numbers than credit cards etc, they can always have a stop put on them but it's a total pain if you have to change all your numbers coz some weirdo got them. |

glad your sister got her purse back..but I wonder why it took two weeks before he called? anyhow...glad he was honest!!

i should have explained it wasn't his cab Beth. a driver left and the cab just sat for a couple of weeks before being allocated to another driver. this driver was cleaning it out when he found the purse. and yes it was good of him to return it.
