Wrap or tie or rubber band an old towel around the broken mop. Spray the floor with cleaner---all purpose cleaner, window cleaner, bath tub cleaner, shampoo---doesn't matter, it's all soap and water trying to clean ... or just push an old towel around with the broken mop. Or throw some paper towels down in place of the towel and push them around the sprayed floor.

Then turn on some music that will help you feel energetic.

Plan a reward for yourself afterward! Food? Nap? Time to enjoy some reading? Order a mop online? trying to clean

try tying a floor cloth to a brush and do the floor that way untill you manage to get a new mop

yes, the hand towels on floor, under your feet, perfect !!!!
use soapy ones for cleaning, rinsed out towels for rinsing up the floor, and dry hand towels for drying up the floor ... or one bath towel, two feet!

also, you can use old socks, dampen them, slide your hands into them, and wipe down doorways, tv's, almost anything. keep changing them so that you are not smearing dust and dirt around, and you get a little stretching exercise in while you dust up to music ...

one more thing, use that broken mop to get at bust bunnies high up on the wall and behind furniture and stuff, this way you don't strain too much.

oh, take rests ... and breathe, exhaling at most strenuous part of task - reserve energy.

this might be fun, yes? what am i saying trying to clean
