In in age of false product claims and failed promises it is nice to know somethings are worth the money you pay for them:

Tempurpedic Mattress, I have had one for almost 10 years, a truly worthwhile investment if you value sleep. I will never buy out-dated spring tech again, everyone of the box spring mattresses feel third rate compared to the Tempurpedic, no tossing, no turning, just a deep soothing sleep.

Breath Right Strips, stopped my snoring completely and leaves me feeling more energized in the morning.

Bowflex, superb and sturdy equipment, I have had one for several years, much safer and more efficient than free weights, in terms of strength training I now can rep over 300lbs with freeweights, It has lots of different exercises and the product is backed by excellent customer service.

PS3: its not for everyone, and its pricey, but on a dollar per feature basis its a great value, near supercomputer processor, true native hi-def visuals, built in Blu-Ray movie player ( Normal Def DVD feels like a second rate experiance by comparison) , bluetooth based technology for the wirelss controllers and headset.

Koss speakers, again pricey but fantatisic tones with huge range and rich sound, Beethoven, Hendrix, Clapton, and Van Halen never sounded better

Infinity G35: a deft combination of high performance, room reasonable comfort, and standard features for the money

I-Pod, love it, one of the best products of the last 10 years

and of course the greatest and most versitle thing ever manufactured is:

Duck Tape,

right up there with fire, language, and the wheel as the greatest things ever invented by man
LOL

I am sure you guys can think of other things of value

Wow, thanks for that info. My son wants a PS3 for his birthday/Christmas present (is rather expensive). He has had the PS2 for 2 years now. He's almost 10, will it be user friendly for a child of his age?

Tim...I'm impressed with your list!
I can't sleep on tempur foam because it becomes "hot" HOT and body heat builds up. I had one before, and thinking I was buying one free of it, it seems the top layer of this new one has the same, and I wake up in a heat sweat!
My "worth the money" right now are plants for garden and landscaping as well as the old standy: art supplies!

Laptop and the Internet - I don't think I can live without it, lol.
iPod - Tim, I have to agree with you on this one!! One of mankind's greatest inventions.
Birkenstocks - They last long!! Reliable. Lol.
My Sony Ericsson mobile phone - It's been thrown at the wall/floor lots of times, but it's still working good as ever (but with scratches, of course ;] )

It's all I can think of as of now. (that I have)

My floor harp - it's handcrafted and has a beautiful tone that just keeps getting better with age.

My 99 honda civic. It just keeps going and in 9 years of hard driving and abuse, it's only had two significant repair bills.

handmade jewellery - especially when you know the artist. Actually, I'm a big believer in individual handicrafts anyway, and will happily pay for quality and uniqueness.

Seasons tickets to the symphony - my classical music fix helps keep me sane.

1) My farm here in Kentucky
2) my freedom away from being around a miserable husband
3) My GPS so I don't get lost (it has gotten me across the country 3 times without even once getting lost & now I can always find my way back to my new home in Kentucky from wherever I am
4) my sterling silver flute that was stolen (I always knew the value, but I really realize how valuable it was to me not that I don't have it)
5) pain medication that works 100 % so you can function without pain after years of not being able to.
6) my Yashika digital camera.....one of the originals built for toughness. It was dropped off the back of the horse trailer on the freeway & still worked....My doggie jiggled my hand when we were playing in the snow & it dropped with the lense out onto the cement patio & still keeps on working.....it captures my life & the beauty all around me as best a camera can.
7) my doggies piled on top of me during a thunder storm or slurping me with good morning kisses the first time I stir around on my air mattress bed in the morning (there isn't enough money in the world that could buy this one)
