I hope everyone is having a good Memorial Day weekend and staying safe. Here in Missouri the weather is pretty good so I imagine the area lakes and the Branson area are packed with vacationers. We're staying home this weekend due to the awful gas prices but we did go to a movie and out to dinner on Thursday before the crowds hit. Now we're focusing on the flower gardens and the yard, one of my favorite things to do.

My dad was a veteran of WWII and my brother was in the service during the Vietnam War. My oldest son served two tours in the Persian Gulf, on a carrier, so this is a significant holiday for me. It's a good time for all of us to think of and pray for those currently serving in our armed services.

Some of you might want to add to this thread, those family members who have or are currently serving their country.

My dad served in WWII also and my uncle was killed in action.

I honored my uncle at this site a few years ago, I haven't visited in awhile but I think they still do it.
