<font color="purple">I was thinking to myself about that fateful christmas when we had gotten into a car crash (I was about 7) and how my memories were kinda magicly changed around so that instead of:
My memory: .crash . getting my foot stuck under the seat . walking a really long ways . stopping at some guys house to use the phone (gave us a chocolate snowman candy :P) . FINALY getting picked up after walking for like forever Other people's memory: . crash . foot stuck under seat . me standing in the road . me nearly getting killed by a car that spun out of control by hitting the same black ice that we did (if my stepbrother didn't spiderman leap over said car) which by the way is completely gone/dissacociated from . walking for maybe like...a minute before reaching the house. Seriously, it makes me kind of question eveything else too, you know? Mom said I probably remembered it differently because I was in shock, so the walking only seemed like forever when it wasn't. But it still makes me wonder ![]() |

Eventually, when you are ready, you will remember. Only if you are ready though...
Take care, Dee

You know many times our minds, in the heat of the moment, remember things differently. Our perceptions can be off and how we remember something can be different from what other people remember since we're all different.
I remember different things from a wreck I was in when I was 12. Things that only took a split second to happen seemed like they happened in slow motion. I think maybe in your situation you were dissociating from the shock of things...and your mind most likely was all over the place while you walked to the house, which can definitely make it seem like the walk was longer. Hang in there. ![]() |
