I didn't realize that this would be me in a matter of days! Part of the reason for me not being here so much..is that I started back to school and have been working hard on that.. I finished last semester with a 4.0 which brought my GPA to a 3.875... not perfect but dang close.. (not bad for a working mom of 2) Any way.. I had applied to the Radiology Program at the college I was going to.. over 300 apply each year and they only accept 30 students a semester! Well I checked my mail and GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!!! Yep! I got accpeted the first time I applied!!!!!!! I so wasnt expecting to get in the first time!!!! I am sooo excited!!! Just thought I would share my exciting news with all my friends here!!!!! love you guys!!!!!!!!!

I have to share with you what happened last night... I went to tell my grandmother about getting accepted.. She watches my kids and always has... I know she loves them very much and only wants the best for them.. However when I told her I had been accepted in to this program and would have to quit my job to go to school full time she unleashed on me!
telling me she hoped I was making the right decision and other things that were less than supportive... it made me mad and I stood up for myself, but I still left there in tears! As I was leaving a friend of mine called and he knew instantly something was wrong.. of course I started crying and he just listened and didnt offer any words of advice except for this is the best thing you can do for your kids! Needless to say it was too late the air had been deflated from my balloon! so this morning I get an email from him that says Words to live by... it said the following! You need to learn to persevere without instant gratification Just because things are not quite the way you thought they would be does not mean failure When you reach a detour learn to appreciate the new scenery and let go of clinging to your past as it does not serve your growth and limits your vision Premature judging of conditions based on past experience may cause you to veer off your path or to miss valuable new opportunities One can be discerning without being critical I read these like three times and you know what! They speak the truth! i really need this today
