Wow, what a night! I was the center of attention and will be, I'm sure, the gossip for the next few days. I was in some major pain in my knees last night. I ran out of pain pills except for Norco--a much stronger drug than Vicodin, like double the hydrocodone of Vicodin ES. Anyway, I was planning to take one after I ate at the shelter. Normally I keep my valuables locked in the car or locked inside a laptop case. Well, I ate and then discovered someone went through my stuff and stole my checkbook with debit cards, license, etc and my Norco prescription. The EMPTY Norco bottle was later found in the men's bathroom in the trash can, and my checkbook with everything in it was found in the womens bathroom in a locker. Nobody confessed, and everybody was subject to search up until the items were found. No arrests were made. Fast forward a bit more again....I woke about 3:30am and saw someone lying on the floor in the hallway. Figured that I had already suspected this person as the culprit, so I had better check on her. Her breathing was funny with at least 3 or 4 seconds between breaths. I got shelter site staff who couldn't wake her and called 9-1-1 who took her to the hospital. During this time, other officers searched her belongings and several pills--inlcluding some of my missing ones--and others along with an empty prescription bottle for another person for a muscle relaxant drug. I have been up today since 330am, so I'm kind of tired after getting only 2 or 3 hours sleep.

Inky,
Wow what a night you had. At least you got your check book and things back. I hope that you get some time to relax today after what happened.

Feel sorry for you ink, feel a bit sorry for that poor woman too. I hope the pain in your knees are gone now, or at least better?

Hugs, Charlie
