I just received this announcement and thought some people here might be interested. Although they list colleges below, the details state that funding is also available for High school equivalency programs and trade or vocational school programs.

Note that this is a competitive scholarship with a 2-page application and an essay to write. Scholarships Available - application deadline Jan 14th See the Reintegration website and the application for more details.

Scholarship Available for Those Battling Severe Mental Illness

The Center for Reintegration www.reintegration.com, a nonprofit
organization working to improve the lives of persons with mental illness, is
accepting applications for the 2005-2006 Lilly Moving Lives Forward
Reintegration Scholarship.

Sponsored by Eli Lilly and Company, www.lilly.com, the program is
designed to help persons with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or related
schizophrenia-spectrum disorders acquire the educational and vocational
skills necessary to move their lives forward and reintegrate into society.
For the 2004-05 school year, fifty students were awarded scholarships.

An independent judging panel made up of nine psychiatric care professionals
will choose the winners. Levels of study range from high school equivalency
programs to graduate degrees, with the areas of endeavor including
engineering, law, psychiatry, graphic design, social work, architecture,
education, and computer sciences. Current scholarship recipients attend such
schools as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Culinary Institute
of America, Purdue University, Cal Tech, the University of Tennessee, and
others.

Complete program guidelines and applications are available at the Center for
Reintegration Web site.

Unfortunately, it appears to only be open to those with bi-polar or a schizophrenia-spectrum illness. Geeze.
