I'm so tired of the rain! It's been pouring like cats and dogs here for weeks. If it keeps up, we'll be in the flood zone. This happened years ago, but we are unable to get flood insurance because the government does not recognize this area as a flood zone!

HUH? I'm sorry you have so much water and we need it down here...

but huh? The government won't let you get flood insurance? You can buy it no matter what in this country. In fact, the homeowner's insurance, even our hurricane insurance doesn't cover flooding. I'm in a no flood zone and still have flood insurance but only for inside water damage. (I don't pay full coverage price because I'm not in a flood zone, but most water damage is done from things like the reason I bought it: my ice maker went on the fritz and flooded the kitchen, twice!)

BUT that isn't the issue is it? You need it to stop raining! Channel it down here... use the Mississippi, or out to the Misouri Rain Rain go away!

Rain Rain go away!

I saw the sun yesterday for a full hour!!!! Then back to hail and rain. The birds are chirping today, maybe that means no rain for a while. It would be nice if the grass was dry enough to cut today it really needs it.

Oh, this is getting ridiculous! It kills me in the summer to dry clothes in the dryer, I love hanging things out on the line especially sheets, pj's T-shirts etc.

You can take as much as you need, one lake (granted a couple hours away) is ELEVEN feet over flood level. Local beaches are being closed to swimmers because of bacteria.

We are in need of rain here in the area of Kentucky I am living in also. It is interesting as the rain come in from the west.....you can see the clouds & the lightning......then it comes along this one road (Jackson Pike) & vears up north completely missing the area where I live. I have watched another storm go right around the south end of town, completely missing my area also. It is really strange watching a storm that is dumping an inch or more of rain, completely miss our area. I live on a farm with a lot of grass, so sprinklers isn't an option.......the yard looks horrible.....all the grass died in the draught last year & left nothing but weeds....so when I mow on my lawn tractor, I am only mowing weeds. It is really sad to see us in the same dry situation as last year.

Wish there would be a way they could learn to divert storms into the areas they are needed....that would be really cool technology.......however, they we would be playing God & don't think that would go over well.

I spent a few days up north, and apparently while I was gone, the weather improved! Yeah! Local beaches are still having problems with bacteria though.

I'll take the rain and even the thunderstorms over a hurricane.

But like really! TC

There was one heck of a bowling tournament in the heavens today! It wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t messing with the utilities. I agree, I’ll take this weather over hurricanes, wild fires, and earthquakes.
