Hi. I would love some feedback regarding my current situation. I had been in a MFT psychology program at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, CA. I had completed 28 units of graduate coursework. Because of personal circumstances, I had to move back to northern CA to be with my family. I looked into transferring to Dominican University's MFT program in San Rafael, but they would only transfer like 6 units, which to me was not worth it. I am thinking this is because they are a private university and have their own unique program. Does anyone know of another school in my area that would transfer more of my units? I thought about Sonoma State University's MFT program, as they are a public school and therefore may transfer more credits. But I have to wait for them to get back into session in August to answer my questions.

Thank you for any feedback you may have.

Have you tried contacting Sonoma State? I will be starting there as a junior in august. All offices are open and running all Summer long...they also have Summer session going on, so many Professors are on campus. Most of the grad programs are year round as well.

Usually you need a full degree to transfer all of them. It's not only a continuity of curriculum issue, but a monetary one for the Uni also. TC
