I really didn't know where to place this.

Some of you may have remembered a post of mine called "police blew this out of proportion just a little" a couple weeks ago.

Well since then my brother has been very paranoid. He won't go to my Moms house at all. He used to cut her grass, now he wont, because he said all the neighbors are looking at him. He thinks everyones out to get him including the police. He thinks everyones talking about him, family, neighbors, police, (everyone). He thinks some woman has her brother out to kill him (I don't know the real reasoning). I heard that he punch a girl in the face (I don't know how true that is), he has never physically hurt a woman before. He keeps saying he's leaving the state, but hasn't done so yet.

He's very paranoid and is doing things he's never done before. He's always been self destructive, but this is different. Could he be showing signs of a paranoid schizophrenic or am I worrying too much. He does have a problem with drugs and alcohol, which paranoia could be a result of that.

Just wanted to get everyones take on it?

I appreciate any input.

Thanks for reading!

((((vetswife))))

depending on what drugs he is on, that could very well cause severe paranoia. also, sleep deprivation, drug induced or not can have that effect. add to that there has to be an embarrassment factor, he did cause (indirectly) the house to be swat teamed and the neighborhood to be semi-evacuated. he definitly needs some kind of help, even just somewhere he feels safe to sleep it off and get some rest. it could be signs of something worse, but first step would be to get him somewhere he feels safe and see how much some rest and no drugs would do for him, IMHO

lost

Any more news on how your brother is doing?

I'm not sure what is going on with him either drugs, schitzophrenia, both, or just the result of all that's happenend.

I hope he is doing better.

No big news. He was at my Moms a couple days ago, helping her with the lawn, but he wouldn't do the front lawn. He later left and didn't tell anyone where he was going (perhaps it was too much for him to handle (the stress of being there)). I think he will slowly get better, I hope! This just gives him another reason to drink and do drugs. He was already a mess before this happened.

He wanted my Mom to demand an apology from the police, but she would never do that, she already let it go. She didn't even try to get compansated for the recked doors and the antiques they broke.

Thanks for your concerns.
