I liked this program which will be repeated Sunday, August 10, at 11:00 AM on C-SPAN2's BookTV. For those who get C-SPAN channels.

Hmmm...I had to look up the explanation of the word kluge....interesting. Mostly regarding a computer that has mismatched elements of programs and doesn't run properly.....interesting analogy of the brain.

Will try to catch the show....sounds interesting!

I think it means something that is put together to work OK but not necessarily the most efficient that it could be. And sometimes OK is not very OK!
