Seems like the Holiday Blues have hold on must of us. I'm having a tough time telling them to "shut up and sit down" so I've been scanning the new posts for something I can grab onto. Haven't found anything yet, so I went looking elsewhere. Please know that I'm sharing this with the rest of you because I care so much for you and would hate to think what it would be like without you.

Turn your sound up for this one. A bit of inspiration... Live

I know logically that is all true........convincing the emotional side is another story. I love that website - thanks, Tomi.

Sweety, you have to convince your brain first before your heart will listen. A bit of inspiration...

Think I might have come up with some inspiration on my own and through an accident. A bit of inspiration... My doves, Midge and Pidge flew the coup a couple days ago. We had a strong wind and I'm thinking that's what blew the door to the cage open. When they "blew away," they left their first set of TWINS! A bit of inspiration... They are just barely a week old today, so guess who gets to hand feed them? Yours truly! A bit of inspiration...

Well, that's how I'd been feeling anyway, until this morning when hubby ran to the pet store for me and bought me the proper formula. It was so much easier feeding them this morning than trying to soften up the bird feed and grind it! For the first time this morning, they both attacked my fingers wanting to be fed. LOL The male had been raising his wing to me since I first started to feed them. That's how the males fight, is by flapping the heck out of any intruder. He never did hit me, but he sure raised his wing to me! LOL The nerve! A bit of inspiration...

When they tried attacking my fingers this morning, I felt that old familiar warm fuzzy cursing through my veins. You know... when something so tiny needs you? A bit of inspiration... AWWWWWW! So I guess I'll be playing surrogate mom for the next week or so. They sure grow up fast! A bit of inspiration...

They're so ugly, they're cute right now. They have one third fuzz, one third pin feathers and the other third is feather trying to open. You wouldn't believe the scales left on my black pants after I feed them. eeewwwww Oh, well! They're my beebeesh, now! Gotta clean 'em up. A bit of inspiration...

What is it that is so dang endearing about something so small and helpless? Does everybody feel like me or is it just me? A bit of inspiration... Should I have been a vet? YIKES! Too close to what my mom wanted "to make out of me." A bit of inspiration...

Wow... I'm rambling. You suppose I'm "full of it" today? LOL

It's time for my babies to get fed, so I'd better shut up.

Thank you for sharing the beautiful card!
No you aren't the only one A bit of inspiration... ppl seem to know it too because they bring me babies that have been abandoned or call me for help. Birds and bunnies I do not like to take because they seem very fragile and I do not know much about them to keep them alive A bit of inspiration... Since getting a computer and getting on line though I have looked up some info on raising wild birds til they can go on their own. It just amazes me the info at our finger tips. I've thaught about being a vet too. It wouldn't be bad if I wouldn't have to do any surgery and not so sure about giving shots either.

That was really cool, Tomi! Thanks for the inspiration.

And I think it's a natural instinctive kinda thing to want to caretake over defenseless critters. I think it's awesome that you have that opportunity.

I'm not a real huge cat fan (although T says "we are still working on that one" lol) But a few summers ago, my aunt's cat had kittens and one of them was wasting away because the mother and the other kittens wouldn't let her get any milk A bit of inspiration... She was so skinny. My aunt started to bottle feed her, but she went out of town for a couple weeks. So I had to go bottle feed the baby kitty every day. I would never have admitted to most people A bit of inspiration..., but I LOVED doing it and was kinda sad when my aunt came back. lol!

I must be "normal," then! LOL Every little bitty new thing they do makes me so happy! It totally cracks me up when they see my hand coming and attack my fingers 'cause they know that's what feeds them. A bit of inspiration...

Have you ever had a nose whistle? That's what they sound like when it's feeding time. You can hardly hear them! Guess it's my mother's instinct, but it actually wakes me up in the middle of the night. I go "BOING!" straight up in bed, I'm wide awake and fixing their formula. Sheesh! I thought those days were over! A bit of inspiration...

Would you believe I have "crappy diapers" to change, too? Well, not really diapers, but the paper towels I have in their nest. Goodness! Wonder what the parents did with all of that stuff? I've never seen such a dirty nest box after two weeks, let alone one day! A bit of inspiration... Ha! Maybe that's why they flew the coop! LOL

Hey! I almost had me a dog today! A bit of inspiration... I sent it back, though. It was a Miniature Pincher. Too much like a Chihuahua and they can't be left alone or they'll let the whole neighborhood know just how unhappy they are. Nope! Not for me! A bit of inspiration... I'm holding out for a Bullmastif. Yeah right! It would eat me out of house and home... litteraly! If only...

If anybody cares, my baby doves have left the nest and are eating on their own. A bit of inspiration... "They grow up so fast!" They're only two weeks old and are on their own already!

My inspiration? The fact that I had the patience and the caring to nurture a couple of orphans NOT of my species! Let's see... what else? Hey! How about my Inner Child that needs so dang much attention! Yeah! A bit of inspiration...

Ok... so I'm on a mission. Thank God I'm not OC! LOL Can you imagine what ya'll would have to put up with?? A bit of inspiration...

LOL
