Am I correct on this? If I go to someone's profile, and send them a "visitor message", it is left on their profile publically displayed. It's like graffiti...only nicer.
If this is true we need to be really careful to select Send Private Message, when we want the message to be private....not Send Visitor Message. Or am I mixed up, per usual?:Head-Spin: Slippers |

That is 100% correct -- a Visitor Message is like a public posting on the user's "Wall" (like Facebook). If you want your message to be private, send a regular PM as usual.

I thought it was a great idea to have a visitor message.....it took me awhile to figure out how it got set up as some had it & others didn't I figured it was something I hadn't noticed how to do while playing around with my profile at the start. I finally figured it out because I really liked.
Yes, it isn't for private messages or something you don't want others to read, but jus to make a nice comment.....what a great place to do it so the person sees it. I really love the new features on this site. Debbie

Yes, I got confused because I didn't remember that it was changeable and thought everyone had it and was looking for it on someone's page that had disabled it :-)
