Let's not forget that we all celebrate different traditions this time of year and not everyone is centered on the jolly fat man in red or the manger with the bright star leading the way.

May this time of year bring peace and some light in the darkness to everyone who wishes such a blessing this season.

Chanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Ramadan, Santa Lucia, Solstice or whatever your tradition may be here's hoping your season is one of peace.

I celebrate what the season means to me. I'm obviously not the only one. A Blessed Christmas to Everyone! You can start your own celebration of whatever it is you celebrate, if you wish. And if you don't mind, I might stop by and wish you the same. Do we have a deal? A Blessed Christmas to Everyone!

LMAO! We can start eating Christmas cookies, Christmas cake, Christmas lindser tort, etc., whenever you want! We just can't have Christmas dinner until... ooooooh... maybe Christmas Eve and finish up on Christmas Day?

Now... if you want to hit the other holidays, you'll have to ask whoever celebrates them. Personally, I wouldn't mind going to a Jewish traditional celebration. It's always interested me but none of my Jewish friends have ever invited me. A Blessed Christmas to Everyone!

Sep you just haven't eaten until you've been to some of the jewish celebrations, passover esp while very commemorative is delicious! The adults say Hannukah is for the children, but it such a meaningful celebration of a miracle from God sigh! (I am waiting another day to ask one of my friends if there is an "inside story" about what happened to the priest that allowed the oil to run out in the first place!)

Kwanza is not a replacement for Christmas. It is an additional celebration for their personal heritage.

(Do I have to give you a gift certificate for declawing!?)

Myzen, like Gardner in "Being There," likes to look. I don't know if he looks "a capella" or to the accompaniment of a particular type of music.

LOL! Had to look up "Being There" cause I'd never heard of it. Your post is really funny, however, I'm not sure if you're ducking because of my reaction or Myzen's possible reaction! LOL! Do we really care what drummer he marches to? A Blessed Christmas to Everyone!

Too busy ducking to discuss that. I think you need to have seen the movie to understand. It's his philosophical proclivity; I swear it.

Pat, I think hand made things by grandma are the most special. They create memories both for you and your grandkids and the kids hold those gifts as precious, where others will go by the wayside. The hand made gifts have grandma's love woven into every fiber of the gift. A Blessed Christmas to Everyone!

Thank YOU, {{{{{{{Pat}}}}}}}}! A Blessed Christmas to Everyone!

September:

Seems I've painted myself into a corner here. Time for the last resort, the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I shall quote Myzen.

</font><blockquote><div id="quote"><font class="small">Quote:</font>
These days I am going with Zen, just taking life as given, and not trying to inellectualise it into something. I'm not trying to create my own meaning, I'm just going with what is presented without pushing or pulling against it. Some people just call it acceptance. Sometimes I laugh at it (Camus' 'scorn' ) but most of the time I just LOOK (emphasis mine) at it, and those are the best times.
Cheers, Myzen

</div></font></blockquote><font class="post">

He is probably chuckling to himself now, hoping someone hands me a tube of superglue to lubricate the size 10 that is still wedged firmly in my mouth. In my own defense, I only unmercifully tease those I feel are tough enough to enjoy it and perceptive enough to regard it as a sign of affection.

Thank-you Septembermorn for the thought and a blessed, peaceful Christmas to you, also.

To everyone, no matter what the belief of the season... may you find joy in your hearts and peace in your lives.
