You see them depicted all the time on television, movies, litereature, dreams that seem so real that even once you wake up, you feel as though it was a waking experience. But how common are they? I have them occasionally. Sometimes they are so real that it takes a lot of telling myself over and over that it didn't happen, that I didn't really go out in public and make a fool of myself or whatever else the dream may have been about. The biggest problem is that often, whether it is the next day or a week later, I have a great deal of difficulty distinguishing between memories of actual events and those of the dream. I was wondering what others' experiences are like in this respect.

i do that lots, rebound. however, i'm a dissociator, so maybe i do that more than the average person. i definitely do that with dreams (although i don't dream alot, when i do they stick with me for a long time) alot of times when i catch a glimpse of what an insider may have done/said, it's dreamlike for me. also, memories can be dreamlike for me. so i don't know if you wanted "my" yes vote since it's kinda different with me, but i voted anyhow Realistic dreams

be safe,

kd

Lol it's nice to share that with other people. I often remember my dreams and can easily distinguish between the memories of the day, the unconscious projections and the inexplicable (like when you dream that you're flying and what the heck, humans can't fly so how can one reproduce the EXACT feeling of flying?).
Anyway, cool poll.

Sure thing, kimmy. Your vote is as valid as the next. Mind you, I'm starting to think poll itself may be poorly set up. It's may not be very useful as a yes/no sort of question. So, if it please the court, I'm going to edit my post to see if i can remove the poll. But I will appreciate any and all comments or experiences.

Oh well, looks like I can't remove the poll. Oh well, guess people will just have to take it for what it is worth :-)
