i recived an email today with an attachment this is the title of the email from ICS Monitoring Team

"Your internet access is going to get suspended

Your internet access is going to get suspended

The Internet Service Provider Consorcium was made to protect the rights of software authors, artists.
We conduct regular wiretapping on our networks, to monitor criminal acts.

We are aware of your illegal activities on the internet wich were originating from

You can check the report of your activities in the past 6 month that we have attached. We strongly advise you to stop your activities regarding the illegal downloading of copyrighted material of your internet access will be suspended.

be warned this email is a scam the attachment has a virus attached to it
luckly i have a virus checker when i click on attachments

Thank you katheryn. I have received 3 such emails in the last week here in New Zealand. I just felt guilty didn't even think it was a scam. I knew I wasn't up to no good.

One BIG clue is all the misspelled words in it. When you see such a poorly written email, you know it is a fake. Don't even open an email that you see misspellings in the subject line unless it is from a friend & you know he/she is a poor speller! Delete when you read the poorly spelled subject line or you don't recognize the sender & it seems to be an odd "name."--Suzy

I agree with Suzy, plus, anyone who uses "going to get suspended" isn't very professional nor proficient in the English language. Using email is not a private notification method. I'm glad my yahoo dumps spam before I even have to see it.

Glad your virus checker caught it!
