I'm not sure why I dreamed this but it really freaked me out bad because it was so similar to the sort of thing the prophets of the Bible dreamt in their visions.

I was inside of a very large barn. There were pine shaving on the floor and a beautiful looking sheep that I knew to be my "pet". I went over to it, knelt down and lovingly put my hands over the sides of it's face and began petting and talking to it. I noticed just then that it had been freshly sheared and was nice and "fresh" looking. I continued petting it but then as soon as I stopped, the sheep turned it's head away from me and suddenly, there's this other head straring at me. This sheep had TWO heads!. I really freaked out at this point and wanted nothing else to do with this frightening freak of nature. I was terrified of it suddenly and I noticed that whenever it turned either of it's heads, the other head would just sort of flop over to one side. Then I heard a voice say "a measure of wheat for a penny and two measures of barly for a penny and see that thou dost not harm the oil or the wine". This phrase continued repeating itself with increasing urgency and getting louder and more desparate until I finally awoke in a panic and had to get up because I could'nt go back to sleep with this disturbing dream on my mind. As I got more and more awak it was almost as if God himself was desparately wanting me to read this verse from the Bible (yes, the phrase I kept hearing is one that is found in Revelations). I suddenly realized that I had dreamed/envisioned exactly the same thing that one of the prophets had dreamed and the fact that the Bible talks about two-headed beasts with 7 crowns and eight feet...etc added even more realism and meaning to my dream. Another part of the dream I did'nt mention because I don't remember all of it was that I was walking around in this park and there were people running away from something as if something ominous was about to happen. I heard children screaming too. After I got out of bed, I took a tranquilizer (a Lorazepam), my blood pressure meds and after I told me friend the horrifying dream, I got sleepy from the meds and went back to bed for a few hours. Anyway, I just wanted to share and hoped someone here could tell me what this all means. I'm still freaked out over this even though it happened last night!.

- Regards

if it came to me I would interpret it by boiling down to the essential facts: so to me in my mind it would say something is going to be revealed to you, something about my unconscious that I try to ignore, something that might upset a childlike mind and make an adult mind want to flee, but that I might be ready to look at. In my dreams sometimes my mind is trying to feel me out on a subject by previewing it in a nightmare whille at the same time inspiring my curiosity- all in a kind of preface to the clearer thoughts that will come. I learned something very significant this Oct. when a dream was triggered by a real time event that went over my head while awake. It took me and my T a few weeks to explore it and find what felt like the truth of what I had been ignoring in another realm of my mind- but was made urgent as my mind continued to pressure me in sleep to look at the contents. It led to a small breakthrough. I hope this helps.

I think the dream was meant to warn you about the second beast of Revelation 13, that's why you were pointed to Revelation by the symbolism and the repeated verse out loud that increased with insistence. I don't think you need to be frightened or alarmed, just recognize that it is critical at this point in your life (in all our lives, matter of fact, in history itself) that we become acquainted with precisely what this second beast is all about.

Here are some general points: the second beast brings economic hardship as depicted in the repeated verse (a quart of wheat for a day's wages??? think about it -- even on a modest salary that could be like $125 for a quart of grain -- super inflated price). The second beast has "two horns like a lamb but speaks like a dragon" (two heads in your dream, a two-faced nature). There's a warning not to damage the oil (anointing/Spirit) and the wine (doctrine) -- two things the second beast of Rev. 13 usurps. The second beast is deceptive in appearance -- all neat and fresh on the outside, seems so clean and "right"... but is it really?

The people running away from "something ominous" just basically sets the atmosphere for you as one of great portent.

I'm pretty well versed in apocalyptic lore and can give you a lot more detailed information about this -- BUT -- we are not supposed to discuss religion here and THIS particular subject would definitely trigger arguments that could get very ugly. If you want to know more, just say so, and I'll contact you privately. If not, no problem.

Be well.

t says that dreams have maybe one or two bases that touch our reality and then from there "it's just a safe place to be crazy". i agree. i rarely dream. however, when i do there might be something i can pick out that "relates" to life...the rest is just my mind and it's imagination cutting lose.

i know lots don't agree with me, but that's how i look at it. then again, as i said, i'm not one to dream much (maybe twice a year).

I'm trying to step carefully here, since this relates to religion and spirituality (as Mal pointed out). But I tend to agree with what kd & Sky said- but ONLY to an extent. I also believe that all people are entitled to personal revelation about their own lives. And I believe that dreams are a way that we receive that. I know that dreams in my own life have taught me very important life lessons, and even helped me steer my life off a destructive course and onto a more constructive one. I consider any dream of that nature to be a vision. I do not, however, believe that ALL dreams are visions- not even all dreams that have religious themes are visions. Sometimes dreams are just a crazy mixed-up catch-all for whatever we are thinking about, and it's possible that your subconcious drew up the images from the dream in Revelations because those images were floating around in your subconcious and your mind just mingled them up and layed them out there for you.

That said, I also believe that you will know within your own heart and soul if this is just a bizarre dream or if it is truly a vision- if you listen closely to yourself.

People sometimes get freaked out at the thought that they might have had a vision, but honestly I don't think you have to be a prophet or something to have a vision. I think we are all capable of being directed and guided through the feelings in our hearts and through dreams (for some of us at least).

At any rate, its meaning, in my opinion, is totally unique to you. There are certain archetypes that I believe have some universal meaning to them (as Jung believed) because they show up in all of our dreams, but ultimately I think we all have our own symbols and meanings within our own psyches and the best way to navigate and understand that is within one's own heart and soul.

I don't know if I articulated all that well, but if I didn't, feel free to pm me and I'll try to clarify Weird dream that freaked me out... Best of luck to you!
