Nor does a closed mind ever see the beauty in the world, sunsets, scent of flowers, the earth, wildlife, and people with diversities.
How sad for those. . . I hope someday they will open their minds, hearts and enjoy the little time we all have left on this earth closed minds

Enjoy,

DE

sometimes an open mind means an open mouth, and that may be more than some can handle here.

Cotton, I know what you're talking about. It's not true. There are rules for a very good reason.

By the way, have you read the guidelines? You're questions might be answered there. closed minds

Having an open mind also means being able to accept truths which are not comforting.

I have a plaque on my wall that I've taken with me everywhere I've lived since high school. It says, "A closed mouth gathers no foot."

That's food for thought too.

getting outside the box scares others....i do it regularly and it always gets a reaction....very seldom a response.

yes i do know what you mean.... like being able to accept my diagnosis of bipolar disorder.

my mind is like a house, and sometimes i keep the doors and windows closed to feel more safe inside.

I'm not a mod, thank you. I speak too freely to qualify. closed minds

Fortune cookies speak generally. You may want to disquise your "food for thought" under a "general" cloak but I was there when you became upset, so I wasn't speaking generally. What I'm saying is "I understand" where you're coming from. Just the same, the rules are the rules and they are there for a very good reason. Experience will show. closed minds

....but IMHO even an open mind might not be wise.... Sky.

PS I'm not a mod either. The members here all look out for one another and try to remind each other when we get close to, or cross a line that might affect another member adversely. You'll get the hang of it. Most new members are so used to being attacked on other boards, they are defensive when they come here. I'm sorry if you don't feel quite accepted yet, but you are! closed minds closed minds
